WHAT IS MEDIATION?

A peaceful way to
resolve family disputes.

Mediation (also called FDR – Family Dispute Resolution) is a voluntary process where an independent, neutral mediator helps you and the other party reach agreements about parenting and related matters.

It gives both people the opportunity to be heard and to work towards solutions that are practical, respectful and focused on your children.

Mediation is often quicker, less stressful and more cost effective than court, giving families more control and better long-term outcomes.

Parenting Plan & Consent Order

When an agreement is made and both parties sign in agreement, this is called a Parenting Plan.

If you wish to formalise a Parenting Plan into a Consent Order (Legally Binding), we can provide you with information about how to go about doing this.

Payment & Booking

Fees are charged per parent, which means unless otherwise agreed, each parent is charged $1452 (ex GST) per day of mediation.

The mediation fee is payable at the time of booking.

If property mediation is also required, one day will not be suitable, and will need to book at least two days for mediation not less than two (2) weeks apart.

Important Information

It is STRONGLY advised that all parties seek legal advice either before or during the mediation process.

Practitioners CANNOT give legal or financial advice.
